Well, I'm back from a long break. I guess, I don't have much to post about– actually I do, however, I feel that people's posts on tumblr that I've reblogged summed up my feelings about the various issues that is happening around the world. And Twitter too but I'm more on Tumblr– it's easier to express myself I guess?
School has been the same. Work and more work waiting to be done. Today was the last day of the school term and I'm happy that the holidays are here. I feel this semester is going to pass by so fast; just got a feeling that it would.
Might as well update you guys (I wonder who reads these posts) on my week so far.
MONDAY
So, went to meet my TA group to discuss about the big project that our class has to undertake for our CA. Since my group is the event crew, we need to make sure that everything runs smoothly on the day of the event and make sure everything is on point. Like it has to be at Beyoncé's standard of awesome. Played Monopoly after group discussion, Hariz won eventually– I was second and that was a feat since I've only 2 properties. BOOM!! Haha!
Left school with Rachael and was only to surprised by Vanessa, Summer, Nerissa, Kenneth and Valerie for my early birthday celebration. Well, Rachael used a ploy saying that she had to meet her mother's friend at kino because she had to pass her something (it's fake story for the surprise). I genuinely thought that she had to meet her mom's friend and I even gave her directions on how to get to kino at taka. I was throughly surprised– I didn't expect it at all man. Even Sheng Xiong knew it. And when I'm surprised, I tend to remain a blank space (I've got a blank space baby, and I'll write your name.) because I need to process of what just happened then I'll react according to it. On the outside I look completely blank and rather emotionless but on the inside I'm like screaming. Haha!
Then we went to EWF to have lunch and I've a one egg soup and shared truffle fries and a Nutella tart with them. I was surprised that they did that and thought it's real sweet of them. :) Oh yeah, they bought sparkly balloons that made my black shirt looked so glittery. Also, Danielle and Kenneth got me the third book of The Land of Stories series by Chris Colfer but Danielle wasn't there because she's in Italy. I really appreciate the gift since I was thinking of buying of it a couple months ago. Haha! They gave a me a card along with the gifts :) So that's that.
TUESDAY
Went to school as usual, had media psychology, same old same old except at the end, my class decide to sing Happy Birthday (it's still an early celebration) and my friends made me wear a tiara and a sparkly pink slash with the word 'Birthday Princess' written on it. More glitter. And Summer made me a The 1975 themed card– it's awesome. I was laughing at the card because it contains the derp faces of all of them with funny captions. And there were really nice messages written by my classmates and my PTN (the lecturer attached to my class), Ms Clarice wrote.
Apparently, I got another surprise because my friends decided to top up my Starbucks card as a gift. That's really very sweet of them. Like what even. THANKS GUYS <3 (If you guys manage to find this blog that is. Heh.)
Then went to Subordinate Court for our media law field trip. It was pretty chill, I got to sit at the witness podium/seat at an actual court room so that was really cool.
WEDNESDAY
Went to school for TA, what fun. It's a 8am class, not that excited to be awake at 6am to deal with the morning rush while I commute to school via the subway and my brain is not that awake at that time so... not the best mood to be in yeah? After school, went to meet my dad and brother for lunch before watching Interstellar.
Let me just say that Interstellar was AH-MAZING. Like whoa. It's like the best mind fuck you can ever have. Christopher Nolan has done it again. It's really good– talk about an emotional rollercoaster ride.
THURSDAY
Went to school for news and feature writing. 8am class, you can guess how I was feeling this morning. Since the agency was used for some event, after class, my friends and I found ourselves looking for places to kill time before the next class starts. Went to one of my previous lecturer's (Ms. Kwa) office to chill and have a chat to catch up while waiting. It was a good chat. Then we went to chill at FC6 for a while before heading to media law.
Media law was hilarious because for today's class activity, we get to use some website to create 'movies' and what we came up with was cray.
After that, Rachael, Summer, Valerie and I went to Starbucks to chill while Kenneth met Ms Clarice. After that, we went to JCube to some ice-skating as a way to celebrate the last day of the school term. It was fun– like I could actually skate for a while. I'm not an experienced ice skater so this helped me to sort of 'train' my ice skating skills (like I have any).
It's a shame that we can't really put tone in text, I swear, it's more fun I've described. I'm lazy to go into detail, that's probably why.
I've an off day tomorrow which officially commence the start of my holidays. WOO!!
On a rather unrelated note, I'm excited for Christmas!! :D
